Just say NO to trimming. It's GROSS!

If I could could put a puke emoji here, I would.

Trimming is disgusting.  When I first started doing Brazilians (a Bazillion years ago), we were taught to trim the hair if it was long.

I tried using scissors. I tried using clippers. What I found is that there is NO WAY to trim the hair without it going everywhere. All over your bed. In your mouth. In the client's mouth. All over your room. It just seems to hang in the air like the Coronavirus, waiting to gently waft up your nose and poke you in the eyes.

It's just plain gross.

I'm not sure where the idea of trimming started. My guess? Someone's client came in, took their panties off, and their lady hair hit the floor. The technician, at seeing the sight of so much hair, considered running and never looking back, but then she remember her weed whacking device at home, politely excused herself and went home to get it.

After returning she placed a calming mask over her clients eyes and went to work sculpting, shaping, and cutting the mountain of hair to a waxable length.

WHAT A TOTAL S$#T SHOW.

Trimming adds so much extra time to your service. It's not like you can just trim and wax. You HAVE to clean the hair away from your "work surface" after you trim. Good luck with that. I've used a tape roller (insert hysterical laughter here) over the area to try to catch up all of the loose hair. Doesn't work and it's just weird rolling over someone's privates. And you'll never get that image out of your head.  (You're welcome).

NEWS FLASH!

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TRIM THE HAIR PRIOR TO WAXING!!!

I developed my own unique technique for waxing hair all lengths WITHOUT TRIMMING.  t's called....

DRUM ROLL...

The Sweep and Flatten! (Insert outrageous applause here). Kind of like the "Bend and Snap".

Wait!  What????  Crickett are you telling me that I NEVER have to trim again, no matter how long the hair is?

YES!  That is exactly what I'm saying.

How is that possible?

Because you DON'T need to apply the wax to the entire length of the hair (root to tip) in order to remove it cleanly from the follicle.  (Mic Drop).

This is where waxers struggle. They try to cover ALL of the hair from root to tip with wax. That just makes everything so much harder, stickier, and frustrating.  Especially in the labia area.

What is the Sweep and Flatten?  You sweep and flatten the hair down in order to apply the wax as close to the base as possible without having to go the full length of the hair. It's just that simple.

Last, but not least.  PLEASE DON'T ASK YOUR CLIENT TO TRIM THEMSELVES EITHER.

In fact, you should discourage this practice. They will always trim too short and then the hair won't be long enough for the wax to grab.  They won't get a good result and they will be disappointed.

So please stop the trimming madness all the way around.  Just say NO to trimming.
