The POWER wax is the same formulation as the Liquid Gold, nothing changed in that regard. The only changes made were the new brand, logo, and larger can.
Why is it suggested not to use this batch on larger areas?
All waxes begin to dry the moment they are applied to the skin. If a wax is setting too quickly, that means the technician doesn't have enough time to apply the wax to larger areas and remove it while it's still tacky. If the wax isn't tacky, the strip won't stick to it. If the strip won't stick to it, you can't get the wax off. And this causes frustration for the tech and discomfort for the client.
Why would it work on the smaller areas?
On the smaller areas (face, lip, brows and underarms, the time between application and removal are very short, so the wax would still be tacky enough to adhere to the strip for a proper removal.
Why did this happen?
As mentioned our formulation has not changed. When working with natural ingredients there may be slight fluctuations in what mother nature provides which may change performance. Though this has never happened before there is a first time for everything.
We have resolved this issue with our latest batch, so the drying time is back to normal.

Our signature Strip Wax is gentle like a hard wax. It's not overly sticky or tacky, so it minimizes skin irritation and redness both during and after waxing. Melts at a low temperature which minimizes the worry of the wax being too hot. Does not set quickly so it's great for speed waxing.
PRO TIP: Leaving your wax on 24/7 is like leaving a pot on stove, it can burn the wax and change its effectiveness. Use a timer and set it so that your wax comes on 2 hours before the start of your work day and goes off 1-2 hours after the end of your work day.
NOTE: OSHA does not require an MSDS for non hazardous chemicals/products, that is why our line does not need one.
Melt to honey-like consistency.
No need to pre-clean the skin.
Apply Wonder Whip as need where skin is dry/dehydrated AND/OR
apply Dusting powder to absorb excess moisture or oil.
Apply wax with stick at a 90 degree angle for thinnest application.
Use thick Cotton Strips for best removal.
